The blacksmith's shops are located at the foot of either side of the bridge crossing the Hoosic River. The northern most shop was also the farrier, while the southern shop and foundry where owned by E.F. Herrington. Presumably the unlabled buildings near each shop were their houses.

I am currently in the process of getting in contact with the Village historian and trying to locate photos of these shops.
