| Blacksmithing Days 2003
at the Hancock Shaker Village |
||||||||||
| The 2003 "Blacksmithing Days - Age of Iron" was much larger event. Incorporating four blacksmithing groups (Capital District Blacksmiths' Association, Berkshire Blacksmiths, Northeast Blacksmiths Association, and the New England Blacksmiths) over 50 blacksmiths participated.
Oak & Acorn, in conjunction with, CDBA and Evolution Ironworks hosted the "Green Coal" area so the general public and other new smiths could try their hand at blacksmithing. Also involved were Oak & Acorn students; who not only continued their lessons there, but were able to see first hand the countless techniques employed by the smiths demonstrating. |
